It's Tropical

Rice Paddle Charm

The owner of it's Tropical, a food truck reached out to me and asked me to make an animation of his logo. He wanted the ring around the logo to grow and the sun to shift into place.

He thought that the green ground blender in too much to the logo so after experimenting with a few different shades I opted for a sand color which he liked. I then thought the animation was a bit too plain so we discussed it and added in a part where the leaves rustle and coconuts fall spelling out the word tropical.

Once that was complete I added the ring of black appearing behind the logo and sent it to the client. He really liked the completed project and I was happy we added the small tweaks to really make the concept pop.

Animation Concept

The first part was modeling the logo from the reference image provided in Autodesk Maya. I then animated the ring rising and decided I would add the black exterior to the logo in After Effects after the project was rendered.
