Sisterfriend Jewelry

The owners of Sisterfriend Jewelry, Kelli and Lisa, reached out to me to see if I could make an animation for their Instagram. They sent me pictures of the product they wanted to feature in the animation their rice paddle charm.

I modeled and textured the entire scene in Autodesk Maya. I also rigged and animated the alien in Maya as well.

I sent several in-progress images as well as the initial playblast and made changes as they saw fit.

The concept of the animation was to explain why the company loves using gold. They wanted the alien (the mascot of their company and included in their logo) to wash two of the rice paddles and only one remains shiny after being washed.

They provided me with a reference image of what they wanted the kitchen to look like and the color scheme of the scene. They also provided me with storyboards so I would know how they wanted the shots set up. 

I made the decision to make the charm larger in the scene so that it would stand out more and better illustrate the point.

I added the effects in Adobe After effects and the sound in Adobe Premiere.
